Who

Ben Rahmani is the founder of MedStride, a compliance consultancy based in Bournemouth. He spent years working in the medical technology sector before setting up on his own, specialising in helping companies navigate regulatory compliance. In his field, trust, clarity and steady communication really matter — so his images needed to reflect that.

Why

Ben was launching MedStride and needed everything to look right from the start. He had the experience and the expertise, but his marketing and online presence did not match. He wanted professional images that reflected the same standard he brings to his consulting work.

Like a lot of people I photograph, Ben was not particularly comfortable in front of a camera and had been putting off getting proper images done. He had three clear goals: a strong primary headshot for LinkedIn and company profiles, more relaxed options that still read as credible and trustworthy, and a few working images that reflect his day-to-day role in medical technology.

How

I set up my mobile studio at YourSpace in Bournemouth, where Ben works. No travel stress, no unfamiliar surroundings. YourSpace gave us a clean, contemporary setting with a mix of neutral backgrounds and usable working areas.

We began with classic headshots, working through small adjustments to posture, chin position and expression. Ben started slightly unsure, as most people do, but a few simple coaching cues, live review on screen, and some conversation about his work soon brought out that calm, confident look he was after.

From there we moved into environmental images: seated and standing options, conversational frames, and working shots across several areas of the building — a meeting room for formal shots, a laptop and coffee setup, and a flipchart scene reflecting his work in clinical evaluation and regulatory compliance.

Result

Ben ended up with a tightly edited gallery he can draw from as his career grows. Not just one hero image, but a connected set that feels consistent wherever he appears — website, LinkedIn, social media, slides, and future marketing materials. He actually enjoyed the session, which is something I hear more often than people expect.
