Business Headshot Photographer
Business headshots for LinkedIn,
websites, proposals and bios.
I bring the studio to you and coach every expression. Finished images in two working days. South West and London.
One good photo of yourself does a lot of quiet work. It sits on your LinkedIn profile, your company's team page, your proposals and your speaker bio. Most of my clients tell me they hate having their photo taken. That's fine. Coaching the camera-shy is most of the job.

What makes it work
Four things that separate a good headshot from a forgettable one
A forced smile looks like a forced smile. Expression coaching brings out the confidence that's already there: assured without being stiff, approachable without trying too hard. Clients see themselves in a new way, and can repeat it every time they have their photo taken.
Good lighting gives your headshot its polish. My mobile studio uses the same equipment I'd use in a fixed studio, so you get that finish wherever we shoot. But lighting only makes the photo look professional. It's the expression that makes it look like you.
The background should keep the attention on you. I shoot on dark, neutral or white studio backdrops, or in your own office if that suits your brand better. Whatever we choose, it's chosen on purpose. No distracting clutter, no awkward selfie walls.
The quality isn't the problem, the honesty is. Posting an AI headshot says "this is me" when it isn't, so every relationship that photo starts begins on the wrong foot. A real photograph means the person who walks into the meeting is the person in the picture. More on this here.
Peter is head and shoulders above all other photographers I have worked with. I can highly recommend him, especially when a bit of help to look the best is needed.
How your session works
A business headshot session should take an hour out of your day, not a whole morning. Here's what to expect from the moment you book.
A quick chat about where the photo will live
Before I pick up a camera, I'll ask about your role, your industry, and where the photo gets used. Are you attracting clients, looking for a new role, or building a profile within your company? The answer shapes the look we go for.
Studio at your workplace
I bring professional studio lighting to your office, home, or wherever suits you. Setup takes about 20 minutes, all I need is a room and a power socket. Expression coaching is built in. Most people relax within the first few minutes.
Choose and go
You'll see your photos as I shoot, so there's no anxious wait. We pick your favourites together, and your retouched images land in your inbox within two working days, ready for wherever they're going.
Outstanding. Peter came to my house, set up speedily and answered all my questions. His calm manner helped me relax, I actually ended up enjoying the session, something I never thought I'd say about someone taking photos of me.
For LinkedIn
LinkedIn headshots,
ready to upload.
LinkedIn profiles with a professional photo get more views and more messages. Recruiters spend seconds on a profile before deciding whether to click. A photo taken on a phone three years ago is working against you. Some people call this a LinkedIn photoshoot, others a headshot session. Either way, every session includes crops sized for LinkedIn's profile photo, banner, and article thumbnails, so your images are ready to upload the moment they arrive. I've written more about what a good LinkedIn photo actually does and LinkedIn headshots for South West professionals.

What clients say
"When it comes to looking for professional photographers in the future, I won't be performing any Google searches. I'll simply just be calling Peter."
"Peter really goes above and beyond with the finer details to get the right picture, all the while making you feel comfortable and at ease."
"He got to know the fabric of the business: what we're looking to convey and what outputs would be the most useful for us. I couldn't imagine a better person for the job."
Frequently asked questions
What size should a LinkedIn headshot be?
LinkedIn recommends 400x400 pixels minimum, but I deliver at much higher resolution so your photo looks sharp on any screen. Every image comes pre-cropped and optimised for LinkedIn's profile photo, banner, and article thumbnails.
What should I wear for a business headshot?
Wear what you'd wear to meet an important client. For most people that means smart but not stiff. Solid colours work better than busy patterns on camera. When you book, I'll send you a preparation guide with specific suggestions for your industry. I've also written a detailed guide on what to wear.
Do you do photoshoots for LinkedIn profiles?
Yes. A LinkedIn photoshoot and a business headshot session are the same thing, the name just depends on who's asking. I bring the studio to you and coach you through the whole session. Your images arrive ready to upload.
Can you come to my office for a business headshot?
Yes. I bring a full mobile studio to your workplace anywhere in the South West or London. All I need is a room with enough space and access to a power socket. Setup takes about 20 minutes.
What's the difference between a business headshot and a corporate headshot?
Mostly who's booking. A business headshot is for you as an individual: your LinkedIn profile, your website, your speaker bio. Corporate headshots are booked by a company for the whole team, with consistent lighting and framing across everyone. The session quality is identical, the difference is one person or many.
Should I update my business headshot?
If your current photo is more than two years old, doesn't look like you any more, or was taken on a phone, it's worth updating. Your photo is often the first thing people see before deciding whether to connect. I've written more about the signs it's time for a new headshot.
Can you photograph my whole team?
Yes. I offer team packages for consistent business headshots across your whole organisation. Same lighting, same framing, same coaching for everyone.

A short call to scope it
Ten minutes to talk through who's being photographed, where, and when. We agree a date on the call.
Retouched images within two working days of the shoot
Same whether it's one headshot or a team of thirty.
A photo that works
as hard as you do.
Most clients are in front of the camera within a week of getting in touch. Prefer to talk first? Email me or call, no pressure, just a quick conversation.
