Benjamin's Personal Branding Session
Images for a Web3 entrepreneur in Somerset
Who
Benjamin White is a Web3 entrepreneur and digital art evangelist based in Somerset. He sold his e-commerce business and pivoted into blockchain and NFT technology, founding Audio Galleries, a platform that connects emerging and established artists with collectors while making the Web3 space accessible to newcomers. His roles span founder, podcast host, VP of Creator Strategy at Rug Radio and Decrypt, consultant for SuperRare, and strategic advisor for major Web3 brands and artists.
Why
Ben operates across a lot of different contexts. He hosts podcast recordings, speaks at online conferences, consults with NFT projects, and runs strategy sessions with partner brands. Each of those situations needs a slightly different image, but they all need to feel like the same person. A single headshot was not going to cover it.
He needed a full image library that would work for his Audio Galleries platform, his consulting profiles, social media, speaker bios, and press use. The challenge was capturing someone who bridges traditional business thinking and a much more informal, creative tech world. His images needed to feel credible to corporate clients while also connecting with artist communities.
How
I photographed Ben in Somerset, working through a series of setups designed to reflect the different facets of what he does. We started with clean, professional portraits for the profiles and bios that need a more conventional look. From there we moved into working images: Ben at his podcast setup, in consultation mode, creating content, and in more relaxed, informal settings.
What made this session interesting was the range. Ben's world sits between suited corporate meetings and casual coffee-shop content creation, so we needed images that covered both ends and everything in between. I coached him through the shifts in energy between setups, adjusting posture and expression to match each context. We also stepped outside for a couple of shots, which gave the set a different feel and added variety for social media use.
Result
Ben came away with a diverse set of images covering every context he works in: thought leadership, community building, consulting, education, content creation, and more grounded, personal moments. The images work together as a coherent brand while giving him plenty of options depending on the audience.
For someone juggling as many roles as Ben does, having a single consistent image library rather than a patchwork of different photos makes a real difference to how professional the whole thing looks.
"Fantastic day on Friday Peter."
